Point 3 Meditation. Meditation is not always easy. For some people, including myself, it can be a real challenge. But the art of practising it is part of the journey. Meditation is, or should be, a prescription; you are being told to take a break with permission. By just taking a pause, you can fine new perspectives, re-focus and become the best version of you.


Sometimes it feels daunting when we hear people talk about their 2 hour meditations and extended asana practice. Maybe these people weren't holding down a couple of jobs whilst homeschooling their children during lockdown? When I compare myself to these people (never a good idea and not at all recommended as we really are on our own journeys), it makes me question whether I am lazy. But these comparisons are futile. Meditation practices can really help us to see things as they are. Even taking a 3 minute pause can help. Rather than setting a target of meditation for 2 hours in one sitting, perhaps commit to 3 minutes a day for a week and see how that goes? Or come join me for a yoga practice in studio or online. There is always some form of mindfulness meditation even within the shortest practices.
